WELCOME!

WHO WE ARE? WHAT WE WANT?

On the 20th of October 2008, several residents from WestGate Park Bucharest, sustained by WWF Romania, initiated a campaign to make this business park more eco-friendly.

You must know that even if we work in an office, we still have an impact on the environment. In order to sustain our business, we consume electricity, water and gas and we produce substantial quantities of waste: plastics, paper, and much … much more.

This is why we have decided to reduce our ecological footprint on our surrounding environment, but in the end it all depends on us.

Thus, through the means of this blog we are providing you with information on ways of reducing consumption and recycling waste at the office, but also at home.

We believe that sustainable development will bring long-term benefits for each side implicated: companies, community and nature.

WNS ROMANIA BROUGHT WNS "CLIMATE CARAVAN" @ WESTGATE BUSINESS PARK BUCHAREST

Visitors could find a lot of information about how to adopt an eco-friendly behavior and about alternative and renewable energy power systems.

They also could test demonstrative equipments like electric bicycle, a hybrid car Toyota Prius, a solarium panel & toys.

Born in 1961, WWF is one of the largest environmental organizations in the world, with conservation projects in more than 100 countries. WWF’s ultimate goal is to build a future where people live in harmony with nature.

“By this campaign we tried to inform people about eco-friendly technologies and alternative products benefits. Meanwhile, we tried to demonstrate how we can do simple things for the environment and how to save money in the same time. For example, changing the classical bulbs with the economical ones will reduce the energy consumption, the CO2 emissions but also will reduce costs. The same, by installing energy efficient systems in our homes will have a positive impact on the environment and on our bills.

At this event from West Gate Park we had the occasion to interact with a young and enthusiastic public and we were very surprised to find people interested in eco-friendly products.

We know that we cannot change people behavior by one event. In this reason, we wish to come again in this business park and to sustain our messages of responsibility and care about our Planet.” (Ioana Busila, WWF Marketing Officer)
